Changes to tournament planning
We are 2 months away from the start of the tournament and will give you an update for the 7’s
While the RK Speed tournament committee have planned to host up to 48 teams over 2 days, we regrettably have seen a decline in number of teams who have signed on to the event. Presently we have approximately 28 teams in the tournament. Our experience tells us that the number of participating teams will not change significantly at this time, while some may apply later, others may withdraw.
Due to the low number, we have decided to adjust the tournaments game schedule from 2 days to 1 day. This means all 3 tournaments (men – ladies and old boys) will start and conclude on Saturday August 13th. We plan for a maximum of 5 games per team.
Games will start at 12 noon and conclude around at 7,30pm
As you have no games Sunday, we invite all participants and officials to join the Viking games and the great rugby party Saturday evening
The camping area is open for all rugby participants from Friday to Sunday. We will ask you to vacate the camping area Sunday, as we can’t provide accommodation from Sunday afternoon
If the change may prompt your team to cancel the participation, let us know, and we will return any tournament fee you may have transferred to RK Speed earlier.
Copenhagen Scandinavian Sevens 2021 has been canceled
Unfortunately, we have to announce that this year's Copenhagen Sevens has been canceled.
As the uncertainty about the COVID19 situation makes it difficult to predict and plan what the year will bring, the board has chosen to cancel this year's tournament.
We hope that we can instead hold a one-day tournament for Danish teams. More information on this will follow as we get closer.
We look forward to hopefully seeing you soon in and around the club and on the pitches.
Copenhagen Scandinavian 7’s 2020 cancellation due to COVID-19
Sadly we have had to decide to cancel the August 8 and 9, 2020 7’s tournament in Copenhagen. The cancellation is unfortunately a consequence of the plans for opening after the COVID-19 lockdown in Denmark.
First in May the Danish government announced, that at the earliest on August 31, more than 500 individuals can participate in the same sport event.
The RK Speed board wants all to know, that we plan to be back strongly in 2021. We are not done with the traditional rugby party in August. So stay tuned for the 2021 7’s!
The entry fees we have already received, will be returned shortly.
We hope to see you all in 2021.
Ramblin Jesters win both Men and Women Cups
After losing both finals last year, the Ramblin Jesters were very convincing for both men and women in the 2019 Copenhagen Sevens.
Both teams reached the finals witout conceding a try. Both final opponents did manage to score, so the results of the finals were:

Women's Cup: Ramblin Jesters -Tabusoro Angels 12-5. Tabusoro (NOR) won the prize as best scandinavian team.
The winners of the plate and bowl finals received free entries to next year's tournaments.
Men's Plate: Frederiksberg RK-Häljarp Heroes RC 26-19
Men's Bowl: NTNUI-RK Speed 2 21-12
